Trends angle towards vibrant Geometric patters with bold, dramatic pieces.  (Check out Elle Decor’s April Issue featuring hexagon textiles and prints!)

Geometrics are a great addition to any design aesthetic. From a classic strip in a more traditional setting to a modern fretwork design as an eclectic statement in a more contemporary space, both geometric patterns serve their purpose in the proper environment.

Many of us think of Scandinavian style as stark, white and modern. But whilst white is still the main colour, many stylish homeowners are adding black and hits of colour for a bold modern take on this style. Unusual accent pieces make frequent appearances, like fluffy throw rugs. Sometimes only a single spec of color can be seen in a room, found in a soft aquamarine curtain, grey bedspreads, or a bright floral cushion for the sofa.  Beautiful light wood as used in picture frames and lamps soften the stark white interiors.

I’ve always been inspired by the way the simple placement of furniture and every day items create the most beautiful, calming living spaces.

The picture above the bed really comes into its own here.

A very small room but I could definitely spend some time here

A warm & inviting space for the family to spend time together
