I’ve been seeing a lot of Buffalo checks around. It looks especially sweet in kid’s spaces, don’t you think — love it or hate it?

Trendy in past decades, grass cloth fell out of fashion for a time, then came roaring back in recent years thanks to its organic, ecofriendly construction and textural richness. Grass cloth is a wall covering woven from long strips of dried natural fibers, usually jute, grass, hemp or other similar plants. It comes in a variety of weaves, from fine to chunky, and in both natural and dyed colors and can look sleek and contemporary, rough and rustic, and anything in between. A classic wall covering, its crisp elegance and visual depth can leave you breathless.
Grass cloth works nearly anywhere in the home, but because it doesn’t withstand moisture well, it’s not a good choice for high-humidity areas such as poorly ventilated bathrooms. It shines in living and dining spaces, offices, libraries and bedrooms. And its thick weave makes it an excellent partner for walls that aren’t completely smooth.

The Cross Decor & Design brings a style to Vancouver that is often seen in European homes and magazines - a relaxed feeling, complimented with beautifully appointed luxury items and found objects, and exquisite furnishings.
Their Millennium Water Project is one that I just have to share. Bright whites and pinks with floral and french accents and a touch of modern. Unlikely combinations, but simply a beautiful space…
