   These pho­tos tore my heart out of my chest. Even though I haven’t seen ani­mals such as these caught in such pro­pi­tious moments, the spirit of the pic­tures placed me right back there on the veld, smelling the dust and feel­ing dwarfed by the end­less sky,

     Oh absolutely! Africa is in your blood, under your skin. Once you’ve expe­ri­enced it, lived and breathed it, you are always a part of it; always a child of Africa.

     Nick Brandt man­ages to cap­ture the spirit of Africa so per­fectly every sin­gle time, don’t you think?
