I am a sucker for typography. There, I’ve finally admitted it. It draws me like a magnet and I simply can’t help but stop where-ever I find it. A quick trip to a mall is bound to become a very long one if I happen to come across anything that resembles typography. I love it in any shape, form, size or colour.
Once I bring it home, the problem is to find a place where it will look just right. Here’s my second admission: some of my finds have ’laid in wait’ for more than a year before I finally made up my mind as to where to put it. It is exactly for this reason that looked around for ideas and found some wonderful examples of how typography can be incorporated your home.

In true typographical fashion, probably the most fitting conclusion for me:

loveee all the inspiration!
Irma, thank you for subscribing to my blog. You love two things that I do as well: modern architecture and typography. The photos of typographic fine art that you’ve posted are beautiful. I especially like the coffee stains! That gives me an idea for my poster series which you really must subscribe to, as it features the ampersand. Also heavy typography and hand lettering (I am an old-time graphic designer, hand lettering artist and typographer — designing letterforms since first grade!). The poster series is http://amperart.com. Thanks again for subscribing. I just subscribed to your elegant blog site. (Speaking of type, I’m designing a blog site right now for a new client. It’s 6am, but I’m not getting up–I haven’t gone to bed!)
Thank you for returning the favour and for your awesome comments, Chaz — much appreciated! I think your art is original and fresh. That includes the AmperArt site (just had to subscribe — Great idea by the way!) I absolutely love typography and have hundreds of examples. I wasn’t kidding when I said I have some stashed away still. Much as I like the modern versions, the old-fashioned design appeals to me very much. Compliments on your Logo and signature on the posters — very original.
We have even more in common: I’m a night owl too.
